The idea that we are infinite in the way we are arguing about over there is one of those persistent conceits that just won&#039;t go away. I think it is one of the last bastions of real &quot;specialness&quot; we have left, after so much has been taken away by Darwin and Copernicus et al., and it&#039;s hard to let go of. I should mine this for a post.
