Dead Man Walking

I’ve just run across an unsettling story on the BBC’s website: while we’ve been bickering about philosophical zombies, it appears that over in Cambodia they have to deal with the real thing. Have a look here.

Hmm, it is a Resident Evils, Cambodian version and it can only outbroke at April 1st every year after rain season. Did Colonel Walter E. Kurtz resurrected his army of dead men in this way to scare shit out of Viet Congs?

Wait a minute… at the time of Malcolm’s posting, it wasn’t even April 1st in Cambodia. Foul! :-)

You’ll have to do better next year.

Cambodia is GMT+7, EDT is GMT-4 which give you a delta of +11. His posting was at 3:30pm on April 1 which would be 2:30am on April 2nd. It was no longer April fools day in Cambodia at the time of the post. Feel free to verify this at http://www.worldtimeserver.com/
