My pleasure, David. While we mortals bob and flounder in the eddying flood of hysterical public reaction, catching at whatever solid information comes within our grasp, Dyson applies his outstanding scientific mind to the practical task of getting to the bottom of things as well as he can. He doesn't have all the answers -- nobody does -- but he does a very helpful job of clarifying the questions.

I have just finished reading it. Thanks, Malcolm, it was an education for a know-nothing like me, and a confirmation of ill-thought out set of suspicions.

Thank you both. Leave it to Dyson to strive for clarity and actual understanding, rather than partisan shrillness.

Hear, Hear! Thanks, Malcolm, for this post. I've almost given up trying to discuss climate change, since things have become SO polarized. Both extremes suffer from tunnel vision and have long ago abandoned any standards of rational discourse, substituting verbal abuse for reasoned argument. A pox on both their houses.
