So don't feel bad. I never got any wrong by saying they were the same when they weren't. In two cases I thought the same melody was being played in different voicings (i.e, using the same notes in a chord, but in different octaves). Must have been fooled by the harmonics in some of those synth sounds they were using. That’s about where I came in too, and I’m a musician, and have spent 30 years recording and mixing.
