I only played with Buddy a few times publicly, we jammed more in terms of time spent playin'... we spent a lot of hours hanging out, eating and kicking around the music stores on 48th St. in the late 20th & early 21st centuries...He was a very wise and funny man, but could also be diva-tuff as any star when he wanted to be... I saw him last at a Celebration of Jimi Hendrix's 64th (wouldabeen) birthday memorial gig at B.B. King's a couple years ago.-(where J. As Springfield's oeuvre is more or less limited to Jessie's Girl, he did two Hendrix covers. It's not often that you see musicians play Hendrix, perhaps because they will inevitably suffer by comparison. (Rick Springfield sure did). Sorry to hear of his passing.
