Should anyone wish to look at the “Russian News” links, use the Google translation tool. A useful note of interest though, is to use the tool for Ukrainian.
At least as it stands at 12:45 CST (US). August 10.
A further note. Post of August 9, Saturday, August 9, 2008: “Georgia Bulldogs, Not Paper Tigers” the first map which shows blue (Georgian Forces) apparently surrounding red (Russian Forces).
These force locations were what existed as cold “peacekeeper” formations prior to the actual outbreak of hot hostilities. As such the forces at the time of map’s publishing were in more or less “static” positions. An alternate link, however not as resourced is:

Great minds think alike. I, too, used your witty title, but no plagiarism, honestly!
I doubt we were the only ones, David! The Internet is a depressing wake-up call for all of us who fancy that we might occasionally have an original thought.
Indeed, I have already seen two more today. No wonder my son calls me a boring old fart!
What cheek! You should cuff him for his impertinence, the insolent pup.
