We must note with sadness the death, from cancer, of one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, keyboardist Richard Wright. His Times obituary is here.

I recall a concert many years ago at McCarter Theater in Princeton — I believe you were there — where Pink Floyd played their usual spacey music for the show, and then came on for an encore which was a Chicago blues cover (Everyday I Have the Blues, or something like that).
I am sure that Wright is now in a cave with several species of small furry animals grooving with a pict.
I was indeed there, Peter; it was sometime around 1970 or 1971, I think. I think we might even have attended together. But I do not remember the finale, or, frankly, that much about the concert, really.
I wonder why that could be?
Actually, you were there and I wasn\\\’t, but I remember you telling me about it (including the encore). The ticket price was $6 and I decided to get a gram of hash instead, to my lifelong regret. If I were allowed ten do-overs in life, this would have been one of them.
