Junies

We’ve decamped for a few days to the woods near Wellfleet Harbor, and on this warm late-May evening there are some huge insects storming the screens at the doors and windows. June-bugs, I figured they must be, and wanting to know a little more I Googled junebugs Cape Cod.

Here’s what I found. Massachusetts has a special charm that’s all its own.

    Gee whiz Malcolm. I hope the guys in Massachusetts keep their floors cleaner than Arkansas guys do – that guy was fast, but I don’t think he was this fast:

    Oh, I don’t feel half bad about living in Arkansas NOW! We appear very civilized and educated as we only tie strings to June bugs!
