I’ve been taking a little break from writing; despite all that’s going on, I’ve been distracted and unfocused, and have had nothing of any substance to say.
So, speaking of distractions, here’s one that has cost me a couple of hours recently: a highly addictive game that uses Google’s street-view data. I found it quite hopeless at first, then began to get the hang of it, and with a little effort am scoring in the mid-20k range per game.

Malcolm, are you sure you’re scoring 20K and not 2K per round? I have to ask because I just scored a hit that was about 200 meters (the game says “0.236 km”) from the designated spot and got 6459 points for my trouble. Normally, if I’m within 1000-2000km of the correct spot, I get around 2000-ish points per round. If the points are awarded logarithmically, then I guess I can see how one might get 20,000 points for being, say, 10 meters off… but are you really that scarily accurate? If so, then damn.

20K is terrific for a round. I’ve only just barely cracked 10K.
I wish they told you the exact locations (as in city, state, country), both of your guess and the true site.
They do mark both your guess and the exact location…
I guess my geography skills are not all that good. I guessed Ukraine for one, I got a high score, but I couldn’t tell if the real point was in Ukraine or Russia.
