Enlightened Statesmen Will Not Always Be At The Helm

Well, here’s a heartwarming item.

I may be wrong, but I am increasingly confident that Hillary Clinton will never be the President of these United States. She’s too old, too obviously incompetent, too ruthless, too unprincipled, too insincere, and she has too much baggage. Some combination of these things will bring her down, once the fur starts to fly. I hope.

But then again, there’s this.

  1. She may be incompetent, but she buzzed into the White House in the wake of her husband, and she’s managed to buzz around the White House ever since in a manner reminiscent of The Thing That Wouldn’t Leave from “Saturday Night Live.” She’s still buzzing around the White House even now, like a fly on… well, you know.

We’re doomed. Well, all Jim Webb D-Va. needs to do is beat that routine. He may have an outsider shot running as an actual Democrat.

If Obama is any indicator, incompetence is no barrier. IMHO, she is an effective Machiavellian.

But I don’t think she will be in the white house either. She will slip with another one of those “What difference at this point does it make” kind of statements. I don’t think “just shut up and do what I say” will be much of a campaign slogan.

The many cronies who were elevated by President Clinton to positions of power in the Democratic party already tried to hand Hillary the White House on a silver platter. Even with all of those kingmakers pushing her on the voters in 2008, Democratic voters still chose someone else. And how many GOP-leaning independents could she ever hope to pick up? American voters are generally obedient about accepting whatever candidate has been hand-picked by the elites, but Hillary may prove to be more than the sheep will bear.

She may get in, but if she does, it will be the result of an utter and complete lack of credible opposition (not impossible).
