A wedding would be a nice change for us. We haven’t been to one since 2002. Nothing but funerals since.

Just asking if anybody around here shares with me the opinion that in our current state of affairs, which finds us showing our “Support the Troops” by first, and easiest, buying a little magnet in the shape of a ribbon, some bit of yellow paint and sticking same on some prominent spot on our cars

Where, having lowered the standards for enlistment generally, so that one day’s thrice convicted gangbanger yesterday merely by putting on the uniform today

(Up to and including, but not limited in any appreciable way to include “a couple” who’ve managed to gain the sympathies of five on the nine Justices and in so doing “won the war” for dignity)

The very word “Hero” has become cheapened and hackneyed?

Well Dom, you will probably have heard “the one about” that Uni Prof who found herself near crucified after, not following adequately, the Party Line by tweeting the patently offensive #AllLivesMatter rather than …

And of course there’re the too too numerous “Obvious Deviant arrested after *talking dirty* on the Internet” – and it turns out the person whom Made It All Possible for “The Deviant” to do so, turns out to be an Undercover in the pay of some or another Law Enforcement Agency.

The lesson being, if one wishes to Tweetbad or Dirty-Talk, get a badge first.
