Banging Their Spoons

Time to stick a fork in, America. Today we have a sit-in in the House of Representatives. A sit-in. (Next they will hold their breaths until they die, and then we’ll be sorry!)

Maybe they should have been given a trigger warning.

For the Comrade Democrats, the ’60s never ended. It will take staff 2 hours to get some of these old fossils off the floor. Or, with some of them, get them on all fours and point them East. It will come naturally to them.

  2. I’m rooting for them holding their breaths. And, of course, I’ll be very, very sorry. Promise.

What’s amusing to me is the number of times we’ve been told (why, even here in this blog’s comment-threads!) that the Democrats are “the adults in the room”.

  4. Malcolm,

“… the Democrats are ‘the adults in the room’.”

If they hold their breaths long enough, I’ll gladly concede that point.

They’re still at it I see. Time to break out the blankets and dim the lights.

This is what civil disobedience on the House floor looks like. Continuing the sit-in today.

    — Eleanor H. Norton (@EleanorNorton) June 22, 2016

“What Norton and her colleagues are doing isn’t civil disobedience. They’re sitting in an air conditioned room, in relative comfort, being PAID as they sit and do nothing but tweet out hashtags and take pictures of each other. There are no hoses, or attack dogs. They’re under no threat of being shot by anything but a C-SPAN camera and their colleagues iPhone as they ingratiate one another.”

There are now pillows in the House chamber. Pillows.

Y’all watching C-Span? House Dems are airing via I-Phones (I guess) … kinda funny as there’s a law against [originally aimed at c-span itself] broadcasting from the floor of the House when its not in session.

Looks like one of those college videos we all been laughing at.

There’s also barbeque, flown in from Missouri.

    The courage.

And they just shouted down the Speaker.

I think we can safely say at this point that America’s fundamental institutions are reaching the point of complete failure.

I’m starting to have the feeling that 2016 is going to loom rather large in the history books.

JK, UMo. has been getting a lot of bad press lately–all richly deserved. They got “too much muscle” in the brain I think.

    Yeah I know Whitewall.

Remember a few months back when the Mizzou basketball players (the ones who were certain to get publicity – being both hoops players and sacred objects) “joined in solidarity” with those BLMers?

Well, little attention (in the media, natch) was paid to the fact that, seven of the front-benchers were up on various charges, of the seven four for felonies.

In other words, Mizzou wasn’t ever gonna make it even unto The “Sweet” Sixty-Six never mind the Sixteen.

“Besides the point” I reckon the BLMers would’ve said.

Had they been asked that, even by Don Lemon.

Well Dems have ended their tantrum. Not a wet binkie or Onesie left on the floor I’m sure.

  21. Robert,

“Not a wet binkie or Onesie left on the floor I’m sure.”

I bet the janitorial staff had to sweep up a few spare ass holes, however.
