I’ll be away this weekend (as I was last year at this time) for our annual musical retreat on Star Island. Back early next week.

    Sad news –

    Jerry Pournelle has passed away.

    Apparently he died in his sleep last night.

    Not entirely unexpected, as he had been in poor health for some time, but still, one of my personal heroes and someone was a tremendous influence on me is no more.
