Ain’t it the truth! We the people keeping a little more of our own money is an existential threat to Liberals. There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

Yes, but such tax cuts should be accompanied by entitlement reform, something that could have been accomplished by a determined Republican Congress and president. Unfortunately Speaker Ryan, who used to be principled about this matter, totally sold out to a man who in my opinion has no interest in fiscal prudence.

We’ll take what we can get. Entitlement reform is a political impossibility in a universal-franchise democracy.

Is it just me or, if that elephant was colored orange it’d look alot like Trump. And as for that jackass …

Unfortunately far as Entitlement Reform goes just about everyone I’m in contact with take it to mean the usual – y’all know the rote: Social Security, Medicare y’all know, the usual.

Were it that direct payments to farmers (in my neck of the woods just running a few head of cattle on a quarter-section of land [mostly heavily timbered] makes one a farmer) … parceling out a lot of contracts far and wide (for individual Congress-Critters’ re-election efforts) for defense projects like … oh just off the top of my head – the F-35.

Oh were entitlements such as this considered into the equations:

And while I’m off the usual reservation I may as well add the Congress-Critters legislation not so long ago making their salaries automatic rather than havin’ to be annually and publicly voted on C-Span.

    I could go on.
