As long as I’m shirking serious duties here today, I offer another amusing item, courtesy of my son Nick.
It’s not unusual for recording artists who have done well with a song to try to come up with another that’s “just the same, only different”, in the hope of cashing in on an ephemeral spasm of popularity. It’s certainly less demanding than trying to be creative.
Among the most glaring of recent offenders is the infinitely tedious Canadian band Nickelback, who are exposed in flagrante delicto at the amusingly titled Webshite. Have a listen, and a hearty snort of derision, here (and make sure you can listen in stereo).
