Service Notice

Due to a particularly grueling schedule Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll have nothing here, I’m afraid, until Friday at the soonest. I realize this has been happening more often of late, but there it is. At least there’s still no talk of a rate increase.

In order to properly apologize for my little failure to read everything yesterday prior to posting that link I thought I’d post an item I received via e-mail from a DoD source. Just something which I’m certain might boost military enlistments. I know you’re married so I’m not worried about losing waka.

Mind, when I was on active duty women were banned from combat areas so of course I never had to deal with this sort of stuff. However things change.

I get “updates” sometimes and most of them are usually easily deleteable. Occasionally something catches my eye. Apparently the commanding general in Afghanistan has been epiphanized about things sexual in nature. Note especially paragraph #10:,15240,167950,00.html?

“Men and women “will not cohabit with, reside or sleep with members of the opposite gender in living spaces of any kind,” unless they are married or if it’s necessary for military reasons, the new policy states.”

I’m having some difficulty figuring out any “military need” for any sort of shenanigans. Might you enlighten me?

That’s quite an interesting article, JK, and I’d hate to give too hasty a reply to your question about “military need”, other than to say these folks are in the military, and I’m sure they have needs…

By the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air. Takes on a whole new meaning.
