Shades Of Night Descending

Here is a long and deeply depressing essay about California’s dying Central Valley, by one of its lifelong residents, Victor Davis Hanson.

How did we let this happen to ourselves?

    Liberal/Islamo fascism.

It was kind of a rhetorical question.

  3. The Cali-coastal liberals and their self-righteous bullshit are enabling the vandalism that will ultimately push them into the sea. It’s suicide by stupidity.

It does require a few sleepless nights – then again, there are the lucky who manage on the first sleepless night to get the dumper to spread the message for the lucky.

Mr Dumper? Meet Mr Remington. This is his lovely wife Modified Barrel, and these are his children Rock Salt and Bacon Rind.

(But in truth, Mr Remington is polygamous – he’ll easily, quickly switch from Modified Barrel to Full Choke soon as Modified performs as required.)

  5. JK,

It sounds like you are describing a retro wild west, with everyone dispensing their own justice. It might come to that in the Central Valley, but it could hardly be termed a progressive outcome.

Besides, if a farmer defends his property against the vandals, which party do you think will end up in a California jail?

Actually TBH, seemed to me Mr. Hanson’s essay outlined precisely that.

All I describe is a shotgun with interchangeable barrels and a load that won’t groove.
