Bromance

A year and a half ago, as the West enjoyed a collective thrill up the leg over the flowering of democracy in Tahrir Square, I suggested that the real beneficiary of the “Facebook revolution” would be the Muslim Brotherhood — an outfit our leaders apparently figured they could do business with, despite its mortal and implacable hostility to America, Israel, and every liberal principle upon which Western civilization stands.

And that’s exactly how things have been rolling along since then; we’ve all been cozying up nicely, on both sides of the aisle. In particular, the Republicans McCain and Graham (fresh from the Tripoli tent-party circuit) are positively oozing bonhomie. Andy McCarthy unburdened himself of a corking good rant about it all today at NRO, and you can read it here.

I efforted a crisp, humorous observation for this comment-post Malcolm – couldn’t quite pull it off.

Note McCain’s been cheerleading efforts to meet up with Al-Q, join hands and march on Damascus? Now that’d really be just ducky.

Very nearly drives me to pull a lever for somebody who I know will Reaper the wind.
