Ooh La La

OK everybody, here’s a treat for you: the Faces, live in 1972. Rod Stewart at the peak of his powers, with one of the greatest old-school rock bands of all time — Ron Wood, Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan, and Kenny Jones. Nicely recorded, too.

Here.

Spot on, Malcolm. I loved them back in 72-73. Just great. Rod Stewart, and the Stones with Mick Taylor in that era were just the best. Brought to mind another (of the many) nice Faces song that I liked quite well back then:

Well, jeez, I don’t mean to hijack the thread, but just stumbled across this oh so nice version of I’d Rather Go Blind with Keith Richards joining the Faces. Love this version, especially the outro starting at around 3:40:

Ah, Miss Judy … Good stuff, Malcolm. A Nod Is As Good As A Wink … To A Blind Horse was one of the first LPs I owned.
