Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

Frankly, some big C Communists worked for the last century to undermine America and plenty of small c communists and assorted useful idiot leftists bought the propaganda hook, line and sinker. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, it sure seems like the Communists in academia began brainstorming with fellow progressive travelers for ways to continue the “revolution” by hijacking the culture. Political correctness is the same old game of wresting control of the culture by literally hijacking the very words we’re “allowed” to use, to avoid ostracism. But it’s more insidious than that, it corrodes our ability to accurately frame arguments, because they create all sorts of phrases and terms that sound benign, but mask truly horrific ideology and political agendas. And they’ve got control of our educational system, Hollywood, the media and all aspects of pop culture, making it very difficult to fight against the tidal wave effect they’ve created.
Early on in my first scribblings on this forum to Henry, I believe, I stated that the Cold War was not really over, only the phase of Soviet expansion had ended. The idea of communism had in the meantime buried itself deeply in academia, media and much of the money and power wing of the Democrat party. We did not realize how deep this infection had gone until Obama, a committed Liberation Theology Marxist, had been guided into the White House.
The Cold War was always going to be won or lost right here in America. Only instead of the USSR as the enemy, their proxies now loose within our institutions, are doing the work.
These proxies are our worst enemy yet and they have to be understood for what they are and treated as such. At the same time, these proxies are their own worst enemy and as such, they will aid those among us who detest and oppose them.
