Fourscore

My mother, who died in 2006, would have been 80 years old today. My remembrance of her is here.

  1. Remembrance is such sweet sorrow, Malcolm …

My own Mom, who died on Memorial Day in 1999, will have been fourscore and seventeen this year (on November 11). She was born on the day the First World War ended.

My own brief remembrance of her is here.

May Yahweh bless her and keep her.

She sounded like a wonderful woman.

Malcolm, your remembrance of your mother was the first post that I read by you. I no longer remember how I got to it, but it was shortly after my own mother died. I’ve been reading your blog ever since.

Malcolm, your mother sounds lovely and even though you’re biased, I believe you.

I wrote yesterday, and did my old trick of trying to edit the wrong text (that really helpful extra, that lets you read your stuff back, and spot the mistakes.) which shoots everything off into the ether.

Anyway, you made me cry when I read this the first time. And you did it again.
