The election is two months away. I don’t get the sense, from most people, that they have any inkling of what a catastrophe it’s going to be. But if you think it’s been a crazy year so far, the period after Election Day is going to make the first ten months of 2020 look like 1955.
There are four possible outcomes: close wins for either Biden or Trump, or lopsided victory for one side or the other. Only one of these — a Biden landslide — might defer a slide into chaos for a little while. Unless there is voter fraud on a truly massive scale, however, there will not be a Biden landslide, and in any other scenario the election will be bitterly contested (the word “bitterly” hardly conveys the fury we will see) in the days and weeks following November 3rd. It could easily be, for the United States, the fatal crisis that we all seem — even now! — to think “can’t happen here”.

In case the recent stalking and assassination of a Trump supporter in Portland didn’t get the message across, the time for discussion and debate is over; civil war has begun.
In public you must be the “gray man” of utterly unremarkable appearance who says nothing and wears nothing that gives the slightest clue as to his political views. If anyone calls asking for your opinion, just hang up.
If you step outside the house wearing MAGA gear, you’d better also have a semi-auto rifle, at least 100 rounds of ammunition, and a dozen MAGA buddies watching your back.
The police won’t support you in this fight, so don’t try to support them. Let them battle Antifa alone, and if they lose, they won’t be around to protect Antifa from us!
If this means abandoning your property to the rioting mobs, tough shit. Property in a city where petty criminals are publicly executed is worth something; property in a city where petty criminals roam free while being housed and fed at public expense is worth nothing.
