Sounds like a fascinating play. I love good theater, having done a bit of theater work myself in college (two semesters of French theater), and having always had the acting bug. I hope you enjoy “The Seafarer”‘s heady brew of alcohol and metaphysics.
I’m trying to imagine David Morse with an Irish brogue. Please tell me if he pulls it off. He’s an amazing character actor, but I’ve never heard him with anything other than an American accent.
The play was as good as advertised, and the entire cast were wonderful, in particular Jim Norton and Conleth Hill. But David Morse held up his end admirably too — his accent was far from perfect, but he pulled it off.
This is one of the many reasons New York City is such an extraordinary place to live.
