We’re off duty today, and so the lovely Nina and I took a long walk this afternoon on the beach at Maguire’s Landing (a.k.a. Lecounts Hollow) here in Wellfleet.
It being December, we had the place all to ourselves. (Well, almost, as you’ll see below.) It was very beautiful. I took a few pictures, shortly before sunset.

As we walked south, we met this little fellow, wriggling his way back to the water from the base of the cliff:

Twenty-four hours earlier I had been sitting in my little cube on the 8th floor of a skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan. What a world!
