Well, now you’ve gone and spoiled the whole thing.
But now that the floodgates are open: what really makes it for me is the dim-but-earnest expression on the anchor’s face.
At first I thought this was too lame to be real, even in America. Sadly, however, it appears to be genuine.
Floodgates is right — that guy is getting all weepy! But it’s not what you think, Malcolm. The guy is highly educated and is lamenting the break-up of Pangaea, back when all continents were one. Hence the labeling of South America as “South Africa.”
