    The events in Tunisia are causally different. Mr. Bouazizi’s self immolation probably should be viewed in terms of self rather than an act of protest. That it occurred in context – a convenience.

    The follow-on acts, are different.

    I very much wish to defer to the experts in attempting to project ahead – but to this novice, and pardon the pun, it looks like things are about to get hot.

    If anyone in Oman might be reading Waka, now’d be a damned fine time to “relay” some reassurance.
