This might be worth watching (I can’t say for sure, because I haven’t watched it myself yet): a debate between Sam Harris and William Lane Craig.

    Sam Harris’s comments below the video discouraged me from watching. If Dr. Craig is that dirty of a debater, I don’t see the point of sitting through two hours of farce.

    I haven’t had time to get to it myself yet.

    Dr Craig is certainly highly regarded, as far as I can tell, among philosophers of religion; I know Bill Vallicella has spoken well of him.

    The problem with these public “debates” is that not a whole lot of actual debating goes on, and often the antagonists more or less just talk past each other, laying out their points. I fear that might happen here as well.

    One would always much rather just get them in the back room of some well-stocked tavern and get them really talking to each other.
