  1. I thought that was hilarious, but I was confused as to whether this was an actual rehearsal for a radio spot, or something more “meta,” like a radio show making fun of the making of radio spots. The way the studio audience was reacting made me think that the entire thing was one big skit.

    Here’s a radio production (or at least the beginning of one) that you might enjoy. I’d recommend skipping to 04:00, unless you want to see the intro segment.

    That was a skit, by the way — but I can tell you first-hand, having done a lot of ad-agency recording sessions over the years, that it was in many ways no exaggeration.

    Here’s a classic recording of Orson Welles losing his patience in one of these sessions.
