We’ll likely be off the air until sometime around June 21st: the lovely Nina and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary with a little trip to Italy (Venice and Florence). We’ll have scant access to email and the Internet — and it will be nice to take a little break from all that is evanescent and up-to-the-minute, and instead to nourish and refresh ourselves for a little while amongst the ageless treasures of our dying civilization’s highest art and culture. (Also, we wanted to get to Italy one last time before it closes.)
As always, please feel free to browse the archive and category links on the sidebar, or to take our “Random Post” link for a spin.
Arrivederci!

Safe travels, and Happy 30th Anniversary!
Wow. I remember your wedding – it doesn’t seem like three decades ago. Happy anniversary!
I would have guessed Scotland or Israel …
Nevertheless, best wishes for 30+ more.

Thanks all! Off to the airport.
Sorry I didn’t catch you first, but have a wonderful trip and a happy anniversary.
By the way, Sun-Ae and I were engaged in Rome on Christmas Eve, 1993.
