In case any of you (perhaps those of you who have been held prisoner in a sub-basement by your evil stepfather for the past few decades, or you folks miraculously emerging from a persistent vegetative state) have any lingering doubt about the partisan alignment of certain media outlets, here’s the political director of CBS News to clear things up.
That would be the same CBS whose Bob Schieffer just likened taking on the NRA to fighting the Nazis.
Mind you, I have no problem with partisanship in the media. I just think it’s good to get it out in the open, and cut all this crap about “objective” reporting.

Meet “The Army-of-Obama”
Already a tax-exempt organization being formed that will be called Organizing for Action with offices in Washington and Chicago.
The group’s board of directors will include several former White House and campaign aides, including former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, top campaign officials Stephanie Cutter, Jennifer O’Malley-Dillon and Julianna Smoot, and Frank White, a businessman and prominent Obama donor.
White House aide David Plouffe, the 2008 campaign manager, is expected to join the board after he leaves the administration later this month. Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod will serve as a consultant to it.
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina will serve as the group’s national chairman, and White House official Jon Carson is leaving the administration to become its executive director.

So… why are conservatives even watching television news anymore? Is it some kind of Stockholm Syndrome thing?
To keep the enemy in view.
That, or for weather and sports.
I note Condoleeza’s going to work for CBS which now that I read the above I find myself whinnying.
Condi may be kinda eldish but I’d still enjoy seeing her in the outfits of my local TV weather lady.
Not all of them do.
For damn sure not today.
Too bad, JK: you missed a great inauguration. And thanks for mentioning Condoleeza Rice’s recent appointment to CBS News, proving yet again that it is infested with neocons and right wingers. I hope that you will have the chance to see her dressed like your local weather lady – after all, Dukes of Hazard was a CBS show, and maybe they have some of the old outfits lying around.
Yesterday’s New York Times reported that at the annual White House seder, the Emancipation Proclamation is read before the door is opened for Elijah. The amazing thing is not so much that for the first time we have a White House seder tradition – initiated by a schvartze, no less – but that Obama reads words written by the man who actually did let his people go.
The flag-waving multitudes today represented as diverse a crowd as one could imagine, in age, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. Just as we now have a black President reading the story of the exodus from Egypt, his ascension and re-election to the Presidency is a vibrant reflection of a society which has transformed from one which limited full citizenship to white, land-owning males, to one which has truly embraced the principle that all people are created equally.
Twice ‘Z’ Pete. Course I wouldn’t expect a Prius fan to know MOPAR, California objections.
I have no disageement[s] comparing Condi with Daisy Duke. Except for maybe all of us are older. And as I’m given to understand, she plays piano.
I would ask though Peter (I’m copying and pasting) what you’ve typed seems more than really and over-the-top doofus so how can I know but this:
“Just as we now have a black President reading the story of the exodus from Egypt…”
Oh Peter.
The above quoted phrase, is a perversion of Jefferson’s principle that, “All men are created equal.”
The adverb “equally” modifies the verb “created,” whereas Jefferson’s principle uses the adjective “equal” to reflect upon its subject, the noun “men.”
Such a perversion of what is arguably the most famous and most important of our founding principles shows a poor understanding of the ideals that have made the United States unique.
Prius? Prius? Why would I want to own a car which is ugly, rickety, and has a driving experience which is like kissing your sister?
I have a 5-Series BMW with a stick, which replaced my last 5-Series with a stick, after having it from 0 to 150K miles. Fast, safe, and always a joy to drive. Why in the world would I ever want a Prius?
Inspires the hell outta me.
