A good piece by Heather Mac Donald, here.

  1. B.L.M. There; I’ve said it.

How about reality? Does reality matter? Apparently not to the Left.

No Henry, reality doesn’t matter. Narrative and the grab for unearned power matter. The Left would have been dead and buried long ago if reality was ever allowed to intrude.

My issue of Imprimis came last week and I read Heather’s piece. She nails it but knowing what she wrote won’t stop BLM as it is part of the Democrat campaign as yet another lie, like “rape culture”, “gender pay gap” and so on. The Left needs the lie for narrative. It is their oxygen. Ultimately, we will see a repeat of the late 1960s in minority communities and they will suffer. If the violence gets too great, non blacks will leave along with their tax money and there will be more decay in the black community thus the need for more government to address needs that have been worsened because of government. A vicious cycle.

If patterns hold and non blacks start to flee, the natural reaction from conservative politicians will be equally as retro to the same time period. They will run on “law and order” and tough on crime platforms. Democrats will resort to their past again and say “oh no”, we need more social spending on poverty programs.

    Robert,

It’s like watching sitcom reruns with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 replacing the laugh track.

Funny. When I saw the headline I assumed you were talking about the Bureau of Land Management, and that this must be a commentary on Cliven Bundy et al.
