We’re on our way back to the States — between flights at the moment, in Dusseldorf.
I’ve been almost completely out of touch, but even over here the coming U.S. election seems to be attracting a lot of attention.
With that in mind, then, here are a couple of interesting links that have come my way in the last week or so: first, a brief interview with a prominent Russia-watcher, and second, Ryan Landry’s thoughts on Trump as “Manchurian candidate”.

Safe trip back.
Thanks, Kevin. We’re back, safe and sound.
Welcome back, Malcolm.

Hoping you’ll forgive Malcolm this brief off-topic.
Whitewall? ‘Over there’ you’d inquired something or t’other as to “how’d the fishin’ go” and I didn’t bother much.
Hopefully this’ll explain some’eres in the vicinity of my feelings after this past weekends fishing trip. I would only further offer that my location from the one mentioned on the link was … some 150 feet lower elevation-wise and et cetera.

I hope somebody contacts me about a tackle box. Had some of my Daddy’s lures init. (That is, s’long as the tackle box didn’t conk somebody upside the head and there’s doctor bills to pay.)
JK, that looked like a close call. Wait for fall and try the lake again, fish optional.
