It turns out that “Publius Decius Mus”, who wrote the influential essay “The Flight 93 Election” back in September (we commented on it here) is Michael Anton, a former editor of the Journal of American Greatness.

He is now a member, I’m glad to say, of the Trump administration. Therefore he is also a Nazi.

    A welcome link. Thoroughly expands what I’ve taken to calling Whitewall’s Dictum, first noticed, realized then, absorbed by myself (I think) on Dip’s site then here.

    The realization is painful because Republican voters retain a higher view of the fundamental principles upon which this country is based than do many D.C. conservatives. … These “conservatives” most consistent response to the Left’s relentless campaign to hand over the sovereignty of the American people to judges and bureaucrats is not “No” but “Not yet.”

    A neat crystallization.

    “Not yet”. Wretched sellouts like Kristol want to “principle signal” their way out of their own misguided “principles”. What a loser. People like him are part of why we got Trump. Anton is a smart guy and can handle the flak.
