Now Twitter has suspended my all-time favorite account, the brilliant and eccentric @ThomasWictor. How intensely irritating.

Things are gathering pace. If you are a sane, functioning person anywhere in the West, you must surely realize that your enemy is not the Russians, the Chinese, the Iranians or anyone else overseas. It is the people in charge of your own country. The politicians, the media spivs, the CEOs, the tenured college fanatics. They are your enemies. They are your blood enemies. And they will not stop until you are dead.
Many years ago … well when the Patriot Act was in its cradle I ventured to my now 41 years old daughter that, “Your generation will be the last to enjoy even an inkling of what Liberty even means.”
As we were sitting round a Thanksgiving Day dinner table there were many friends and relatives sharing our meal it was perhaps inevitable that, her simple explanation that “Dad is something of an eccentric” was expanded upon by somebody I’m no longer comfortable sitting with at repasts:
“Sounds like he’s more in the lunatic category to me.”
As I didn’t know exactly who Thomas Wictor is I took some bit of my morning’s rounds to do some acquainting.

JK, in all mass civil conflicts it seems there are roughly three groups of people: one side wants to preserve something good, one wants to destroy the good for the sake of their own power and finally the worst group of all—those in the middle who don’t pay attention, care or believe what is going on around them. No matter how the truth is explained to this group they dismiss it out of hand. In my orbit, youngish women are the very worst at not listening or even attempting to understand. The ‘Furies’ are coming whether we like it or not.
And no doubt Whitewall we’ll see some variety of the same thing when the Bureau comes back with whatever the Bureau comes back with.
“This group” failing (ignoring) the recent History featuring the former Director calming us with the assurances they’d hop right to figuring out whether any of the 70,000+ emails on Anthony Weiner’s laptop posed any threat to national security.
And that “investigation” taking all of what, forty-eight hours?
Personally though, I rather wish the Bureau might venture to find Mrs. Ford’s missing (bleached?) social media presence. Or heck, even a yearbook from whatever it was the school she attended so to compare that to the other.
Except that, I’ve the sinking feeling the server those yearbooks are on is soaking on the bottom of Lake Chappaqua.
I wonder if the flighty Ms. Ford is really a practicing psychologist in the state of Ca.?
