I’m back in Wellfleet, after an interesting weekend in Baltimore.
It’s snowing here — on November 12th. The temperature is supposed to drop well down into the twenties overnight.
I have a feeling, on no particular authority, that it’s going to be a long, cold winter.

Every public utterance about “climate change” or “global warming” reminds me to stack more firewood. Stay warm, brother.
Thanks, Dave. You too: the Sun is going quiet.
Well Malcolm, snowed yesterday here.
Earliest in my memory which I think you’ll agree is saying something. Yesterday on the 11th our high was 56° which occurred at 00:53 and it’s been downhill from there:

Afternoon of the 10th I was out piddling around the yard doing chores and guzzling beers, cold beers. In a t-shirt. Were my legs not all scarred up as they are I might been tempted into bermuda shorts.
Climate has changed I’d say ‘cept not like I been admonished. My propane bill says so.
