OK, so the polls are open in Georgia today. At stake in the two runoff elections is control of the United States Senate.
Is everyone feeling as optimistic as I am?

Yes. It is the American Way of normal people…
Oh wait — sorry Robert! — I forgot to mention that “as optimistic as I am”, as regards this election, means “not optimistic at all”.
I’ll be astonished if we don’t end up losing the Senate here.
Well, Trump said that big things were going to happen in the next two weeks…just wait and see!
Did you guys hear that?
Just two more weeks!
He really means it this time!
Another Dave-
Trump may just be a distraction play in the largest kayfabe event of all time.
awildgoose,
That’s it exactly. The whole damned thing, from the escalator, to Mueller, to the tweets, to impeachment, to the rallies, to COVID, to the flamboyantly tainted election — all of it just kayfabe on the grandest possible stage, put on for our entertainment by a mocking, invincible oligarchy.
A hellish, inescapable farce. And here we are.
just after 7pm est here in georgia. polls just closed. another rigged election is in the bag. but maga types assure me it’s all part of the 33 1/3d chess or whatever the ringleader in chief is on about this week. just you wait, yuge things are happening tomorrow. next week. next month. next year. next, next, next. just like russia, russia, russia in the olden days.
I am going to say 1] I was wrong on gab to predict they won’t have running tallies starting tonite.
2] I can’t believe they’ll run tallies if it’s close. This is incredible incompetence on their part.
So far malcolm it’s 60/30 DEM both races.
BTW this is the funniest handle this year.
“vote harder. more cowbell!”
LMAO
So, Stop the Steal is really just a grift and the rally itself is history’s largest honeypot to collect as many cellphone IMEIs as possible so they know who to disappear to the camps later.
awg,
As an old codger I once knew used to say: “You tell me, and we’ll both know.”
At any rate, I don’t suppose it’s going to stop any steals.
Too many in the Right didn’t take the Trump character issue seriously enough. It seems fairly clear, at least to me, that a small but pivotal segment of the white vote – who ordinarily would have gone Republican – had enough of the egregious behavior of the presidential incumbent and acted accordingly (both in November and by all appearances in Georgia today). Any reckoning as we enter Year Zero will need to honestly address this disconcerting reality.
Perhaps I should amend the above, or even nullify it. It does seem that white proles turned out less this time than in November, not wanting to vote for so-called RINOs. Was this why Purdue and Loeffler lost?
Seen this gem of an exit poll yet?
https://www.unz.com/anepigone/georgia-exit-poll-quick-take/
Pessimism does not come naturally to me. Chris, that exit poll is a gem indeed. If Dems win both, legally, then we on the right have our work cut out for us. With a one vote majority in the Senate and a handful in the House, Dems will be faced with getting along with each other. May they struggle in vain.
I’ve read elsewhere from MAGA types that there’s going to be a major bombshell, the walls are closing in, that it’s the beginning of the end of the Satanic globalists.
(yes this is sarcasm)

If nothing else, Trump’s speech emboldened the mob to storm the palace, as it were.
Our so called leaders just had the fear of God injected back into their veins.
As much as I wish it hadn’t come to this, the Left has been playing this game since the 60’s, with a big dose of it this summer.
Now they know a Middle American mob can reach them if they continue to play stupid games.
Our elites should be afraid of us!
Now, let’s see if this bit of political theater actually accomplishes anything.
Another Dad-
This could all be a staged op.
Go look at the pearl-clutching from all sides on Breitbart how bad and un-American violence is.
Twitter is blocking Trump’s call for calm.
Another Dave, well said! Normally I disapprove of this kind of conduct but as you said, we have taken enough. It is our turn to make our presence known anywhere anytime in any city or town. The libs have been safe and comfortable and smugly secure knowing we won’t do anything. The streets have always been theirs. Who knew Republicans could climb walls.
Addendum: When I posted above, I had just come in and posted here. Only turned on 6:00 news a half hour later. Protests and demonstrations are one thing but storming the capitol building itself is way wrong by anyone. No grievance justifies. Since there is plenty of video, it will be easy to ID those who went too far. I’m wondering if all those people in the building were part of the official march at all or just opportunists.
My other comments about it being our turn after so many decades I stand by. Protest. Demonstrate. Mobs and violence belong to the Democrats.
Well well well.
Blood.
Yes it was real, no it wasn’t an “Op.”
I’m just blocking anyone who says that was an op, no dearies that was real life.
As to those who say Violence belongs to the Democrats – yes, that is why they win.
Everything belongs to the Democrats.
By listening to such advice we have lost everything.
Or have we? We shall see.
Reckon Whitewall there’ll be more “retribution exacted” this time than there was when this

happened?
My guess is highly likely.
Tucker Carlson was excellent tonight.
VSSC…I get your point about “all that belongs to the Democrats”, but what they have is but a shell of what our Republic was. Their way was bound to be picked up by some on the right. Tucker’s show is worth a look. Today was a culmination of the entire last year. If the ruling elites don’t address the anger in the body politic, today will happen again.
The American people advanced, not without cost and their would be masters ran and hid…
@Whitewall,
I don’t think either party holds the people now, and the Republican party ended today.
The political class is in panic now.
“They don’t represent anyone.”
Thomas Morani, NJ, who was standing next to Ashli Babbit when she was killed today.
They don’t represent anyone. Who, then, will?
