Service Notice

Sorry to have gone all quiet here again. We are getting our house ready to sell, and having lived here since 1982, it’s a huge task. By the time we get to the end of each day — which is when I usually have some time to write — we’re whipped.

I’ll post up interesting links when I run across them, but I won’t be doing much more than that for a little while yet.

I will take a moment here to note that we’ve just landed the Perseverance rover on the surface of Mars, and it is happily transmitting data from its new home.

Malcolm I don’t envy you. It took us forever to move here 2 years ago after living in our previous home for 37 years. My wife is the type that wants to keep everything. Not me. This task is much easier for young people.

Yep, it’s pretty challenging. We’re having to make some last-minute repairs, too.

I was young when we moved here! It was March of 1982, and I was 25. (Now I’ve just filed for Medicare.)

As some sage said: our days are long, but the years are short.

Happy landings, where ever you are headed, may your arrival be swift and without a hitch, and swiftly settled in. Nevertheless, prayers also for fortitude and endurance. I did a household move 15 years ago, and then back again 7 years ago. It was good both ways.
The next one will be (as Dad used to say) feet first. A little ambiguous, but I knew what he meant.

Wonder how long it’ll be for SCOTUS to declare moot the oaths all occupying “public servants” positions to support and defend the Constitution are (for now) required to swear or affirm to before assuming the positions?

    Article 1, Section 4:

“The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; …”
