    Our nation has come a long way from the promise of ‘forty acres and a mule’ to ‘a chicken in every pot’ to the Great Society promise of ‘breaking the cycle of poverty’. In the early years we had the Bureau of Indian affairs to see to the ‘well being’ of American Indians. As always and even now, white man speaks with forked tongue.

    Every identity group under the sun is to be paid off as long as they step up and be good comrades and kindly hold still while white people ‘pay’ for their future prosperity. Right. It is more likely that certain white people will make a killing off all this ‘new money’ sloshing around. For good measure some oppressed members of identity groups will be allowed a piece of the action as well.
