A Lowell, MA High-school girl’s basketball team had to forfeit their game yesterday after three of their players were injured by a mentally ill young man playing on the opposing team. The male player, who is over six feet tall and has facial hair, says he’s female. The triumph of subjective fantasy over objective reality in the collective madness of our collapsing civilization now means that we all must pretend to agree, and so we must let him go out on the court and hurt some girls. (Because what’s more important, really?)
The only comfort here is that this destructive lunacy cannot possibly go on forever, and so, as Herbert Stein observed, it will stop. (How soon, though, and in what manner, are yet to be determined.)

I went to high school in Sudbury Mass. One year, maybe ’68, our soccer team lost a semi-final state championship to Lowell. I have felt enmity for them ever since, but now, finally, I can let go of that. I hope they can swallow their clown-pill with my sympathy. Their foe this time was a school in the KIPP (knowledge is power program) network.
Blame the girls, coaches, and especially parents. They could have refused to participate in this farce. Wasn’t it Peguy who said that so many crimes have been committed in the desire for people to appear sufficiently progressive?

Parents and coaches, though, absolutely. It’s their duty to interpose themselves between these girls and this evil. (The “doctrine of lesser magistrates” is apt here, and I should write a post about that.)
