My friend “Spandrell” has a new version of his blog up and running. I’ve linked to several of his posts over the years, in particular his 2017 three-part essay on what he calls “Bioleninism”. (You can read that here.)
Span is a very smart guy, and he’s one of the OGs of what used to be called the “Dark Enlightenment” — as you can see from this diagram from 2012 or so (you may also see another familiar name or two on there as well). Click the image for the full-sized version:

Am I missing something here? The link goes to a relatively old ‘new’ site from Spandrell, with nothing posted since 2022 so far as I can see. I’d be glad to read him again, but thought he’d retreated into gated tech chats.
Yes, the posts are two years old. I used to follow him, and I will again, if he has a new blog open to the public

My understanding is that Spandrell’s getting things running on the backend – chat groups, Urbit login, etc, and will be getting back to writing again soon.
Mainly, I linked to the new blog because for a long time the older essays, like the Bioleninism series, hadn’t been available anywhere.
