This week should be a wild one, folks. It’s hard to find the perfect metaphor for what’s happening in the nation and the world right now, but it’s somewhere between radical battlefield surgery and an exorcism (probably much closer to the latter, and perhaps even literally so). The old world order is not going to go quietly; it will hiss and writhe and snarl and spit fire and filth and venom before it loosens its grip, and I expect we shall all have to pass through a dark time before the struggle is over. But I believe we have to do this now, for the sake of our children and our children’s children, and that this our last, best chance.
It’s going to get scary — but if we flag or fail, all will be lost.
Don’t lose faith! Things may get better sooner than you think.

This is very good advice, Malcolm, for the strategy of the bizarre alliance of globalist finance capital that has been principally responsible for undermining our economic strength, especially in manufacturing, over the last five decades and much of the international Left is to create the conditions for a general crisis of confidence in the newly elected American administration. And, yes, “we shall all have to pass through a dark time before the struggle is over, “ but if Trump and those who support him buckle under this pressure, all is lost: the trade imbalances that are responsible for the sapping of so much of our national wealth will continue and grow; the federal deficit, the annual interest of which is now equal to the defense budget, will ultimately lead to bankruptcy and an unparalleled economic crisis; the class and income inequalities, reflected in the decline of the middle strata of American society and their modes of life and culture will continue unabated; and, as importantly, the counter-revolutionary strategy of the administration will be gravely weakened. It is essential to grasp that for all the rage, profane rhetoric, and increasingly violent tactics of the Democrat Party and its many allies, from the hard Woke Left, to the establishment think tanks NGOs. to the media and academia, none have offered an alternative policy to grapple with the existential threats facing the American nation. Rather, the last four years have definitively demonstrated that they have, instead, every intention of making these worse. This past week, I have unfortunately encountered several Trump supporters who, more concerned about their investments than the long-term welfare of the nation, have complained loudly to me about the president. Hopefully, the core of the MAGA base will hold strong, placing patriotic duty before self-interest.
Thankfully, the bulk of MAGA, and a few middle of the road liberals who have seen the light of day, aren’t heavily invested in the stock market, and can afford to ride out the storm that is now upon us.
The storm is going to wash away truly enormous amounts of funny money and overvaluations, but if it isn’t done now… well, we’re doomed.
Pulling the plug on the Hindenburg that is our Potemkin economy won’t be pretty, but it is absolutely necessary, and the after effects will also likely wipe out the E.U. as we know it today, which is a huge bonus.
Let loose the dogs of war, and stand back. Trump has landed the killing blow to the base of the trunk, and the mighty redwood is about to come crashing down hard.
“Even now the axe is lying at the root of the trees; every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
Generations of Americans before us have been willing to delay gratification for a worthy future. It remains to be seen if this generation can do so. MSM news is still acting as they did during Covid and in their hands off Joe Biden fraud. The financial channels are going into nervous breakdown mode because the world of markets and money is their domain. What regular media and finance media don’t do in detail is the geo political angle of these trade tariffs and it revolves around one word-CHINA. Everyone else is already at the bargaining table or is making plans to come. The earliest deals are usually the best. The market commenters get stuck on ‘why Viet Nam’? There is an answer they just don’t bother looking into because that is politics and they try to stay out of it. One or two other SE Asian countries are hit along with Viet Nam. This hit on SE Asia has a purpose and China can probably see it. Others who follow geo politics can see it too. These ‘hits’ will end fast.
