Today Dennis Mangan comments on the actor Jamie Foxx’s recent opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, which I hadn’t seen until just now. It is startlingly frank (I realize I shouldn’t be startled by this sort of thing any more, but I’ll admit I was) in its triumphalist antipathy toward white people. At one point Mr. Foxx, describing his role in some movie he’s just made, says that he gets to “kill all the white people”. Beaming, he asks the audience: “How great is that?”
It hardly needs mentioning, but if any white person had made such a comment in reverse (on the immensely implausible assumption that a movie might even be in theaters today in which a white protagonist slaughters black people), he would be dragged into the public square to kneel and grovel for forgiveness, and his career would be over. (See, for example, Michael Richards). Yet a grinning Mr. Foxx can do this on one of America’s premier network television programs and elicit nothing but howls of approval from the audience.
To put this as delicately as I can: if history and human nature are any guide, at some point this may lead to unpleasantness. Of course, history and human nature may in this case not be a reliable guide, because the blithe acquiescence of Western, Anglo-European culture in its own obliteration has, as far as I am aware, no historical precedent.

Taken on their own terms, Foxx’s words are provocative, and the fact that they’re couched in the context of a general “How black is that?” spiel doesn’t help matters. But it’s my understanding that Foxx was riffing off his line from the movie “Django Unchained,” in which his character says (you can hear this on the preview trailer), “Kill white folks and they pay you for it? What’s not to like?”
I’d put Foxx’s words in a different context from, say, those of Louis Farrakhan, who’s been known to go off on antisemitic rants. Farrakhan means what he says, and no one’s laughing.
Imagine:
a) A major motion picture released in 2012 in which the hero of the movie, a white man, says “Kill black folks and they pay you for it? What’s not to like?”
b) The white star of such a movie going on a prominent network television show to reiterate and endorse this position with manifest glee, in a context of general enmity toward black people and a spike-the-ball celebration of their defeat and decline at the hands of his own race.
c) That all of this is met with deafening silence by black people, and with no punitive response by the media and the culture in general.
Having trouble imagining all that? Me too.
While one may generalize that a “culture” is acquiescing in its obliteration, there are several tens of millions of individuals who want themselves and their progeny to live.
Since it so happens that they possess tens of millions of firearms and billions of rounds of ammunition, unpleasantness seems likely.

You could have provided a quote from Farrakhan-I doubt if you could find anything pro-extermination.
How to explain a David Letterman, who is reputed to have told Obama, “If you are ever in the toilet and there is no toilet paper, feel free to call me and I will happily volunteer my tongue”? Easy. He is a coward.
Despite Obama’s racist demeanor towards white people, and Jews in particular, a coward like Letterman will gleefully support Obama for fear that if he didn’t, even flaming liberals wouldn’t tune in to his pathetic show.
Henry, this was Saturday Night Live, not the Letterman show.
SNL; Letterman. A distinction without a difference. Both are gutless liberal-pandering domains.
fnn,
Where did I say “extermination”?
The ADL’s got a nice collection of Farrakhan’s antisemitic quotes. See here.
