What’s In It

With a hat tip to the indefatigable JK, here’s an item from Yahoo! Finance summarizing yet another unforeseen consequence of the grotesque and misbegotten Affordable Care Act. (The original story, from the Seattle Times, is here.)

You better come up with another adjective than “indefatigable” or JK will suffer … well .. fatigue from hearing it.

    The well-initialed JK …
    The currently sober JK …
    The where-does-he-get-the-time JK …

If I wasn’t having to pen all these damned cards legibly Dom, sober I would not be.

As to “where does he get the time” – actually, running around Cyberspace is included in my job description. You however are mostly very fortunate in that you don’t have to wade through what I produce.

Still … given the Season, your thoughts are appreciated.

What can I say? The man is as indefatigable as the Bede is venerable.

    Ahoy there TheBigHenry!

I ran a few permutations on your “inde-inebriated” and while I hate to admit it on a publicly accessible blog – I don’t get it.

I initially thought you’d simply dropped an i as in Indie which I’m given to understand somehow means “cool” in some or another way I have yet to fathom either and then popped into that space behind my ears “the nice Jewish TBH kid and this nice obviously Catholic Dom kid are “tag-teaming” me into a position where I’ll, of necessity be forced to admit (or somesuch) that I’m conspiracying with that dastardly One-Eyed feller we’re each members of the Illuminati (or somesuch) combining to 1) get ya’ll onto the Obamacare rolls & 2) take your guns.

But then I thought, “Uhmmm. Can’t see nice Jewish and obviously Catholic used to be kids combining on any attempt to do a Waterloo on an Indefatigable.” Stopped there though. & though I really hate asking TBH – our Cathedral NSA processors are really heating up – WTF does such a hyphenated comment as yours have to do with what I’m designed to?

(Don’t worry Dom. I’m figuring with this sort of comment I’m soon to be rectified with “them” taking that rednozzled thingie off the WD-40 can and just spraying generally.)

I assumed that inde-fatigable able became inde-ebriated. Why am I obviously catholic? I was in fact raised catholic, but I’m not now.

  7. I guess “Dom” sounds Catholic, but since you’re lapsed, I suppose Azazello tricked out as a cardinal of the Church wasn’t offensive — but if it was, well, blame Terrance Lindall for the wayward illustration . . .

Well Dom … “we” read extremely closely.

    Other than that, it’s classified.

Btw, My compliments to both you and Lindall, HJH. Well done! I have to admit, I needed the cheat sheet, but that just added to the pleasure of it.

  10. Thanks . . . and the cheat sheet is incomplete, so you might notice other allusions I was too lazy to record.
