Some good reads from the Web today:
Matt Ridley on inequality.
Kevin Williamson on feminism.
From the Statistics Lab at Cambridge University, a look at some climate-alarmist buncombe.

Thanks JK – I would have added that excellent item to the list myself, had I seen it.
Welcome Malcolm.
Actually … upon reading that I thought to myself, This sounds like something One Eyed mighta wrote, excepting nearabouts ten thousand fewer words.
Having commented often on the ways in which women gave away their vast influence over male behavior, by being the arbiters on the rules on male/female interaction, in regards to “how to treat a lady”, in exchange for aping men’s basest behavior (the feminist movement macro aims) it’s obvious the the feminist model reaps nothing but heartache for women. The feminist harpies(icons, ha, ha, ha) continue to propagate their message of sexual freedom, leaving many battered, used, discarded young women in their wake. Young women would be better-served developing positive self-images based on real achievements in their academic/career pursuits and demanding real commitments from men, instead of trading their bodies at the expense of their souls when it comes to their personal relationships. Promiscuity harms young women a lot more than men, because biology is inescapable and women’s emotional make-up is not the same as men’s. The Steinem, Freidan, Clinton types all seem to hold not only men, but also any women who disagree with their political views, as enemies to be destroyed. Definitely not champions of free speech among these old battle-axes, who wage their unwinnable war to be equal in rights, while ignoring the requisite responsibility that goes hand-in-hand with those rights. You have to be able to meet the same standards to be equal to the same tasks and biology precludes women from ever being able to meet that threshold in some professions (like combat roles). And many women prefer to take care of their own children, which benefits society, as we can see by the abdication of motherhood in recent decades. Okay, I’ll step down from my soapbox now, lol.
JK, no wonder the Martians are so militant — the cosmos shells them about two-hundred times a year!
