My Man Dan

I owe a substantial debt of thanks to my friend Dan Betz for his help in redesigning the look of this website over the past week or so. Dan, who is a younger “training brother” of mine down at the kwoon (and a formidable Hung Ga expert, and instructor, in his own right), is also a professional web-designer. When he saw me floundering around with a new theme last week he kindly offered to make some changes to improve layout and readability, and I gladly accepted. Before I knew it he had concocted an entirely new, elegant WordPress theme for me, and he has now put it into service.

Dan’s improvements were based in part on the work of the people at the Readability Project, which is dedicated to making the Web a friendlier place for those of us whose primary use of the Web is not to surf and click and look at pictures, but to read. They offer readers a handy bookmarklet that you can use to convert any Web page into a far more readable format. It’s available at their website, here.

A respectful bow to you, Dan. I am enormously grateful.

Belated comment here… I’ve been busy for the past few days. Just wanted to say that I’m loving the new look. It is very elegant, and very readable. Kudos to Dan!

Good! Everyone does, so far, I think – at least I haven’t heard from any dissenters.
