Sly Stone, 1943-2025

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of the great Sly Stone, who left this world yesterday at the age of 82.

If you know his music, and what it was to our generation, no words are necessary. If you don’t, no words will suffice.

    I see Brian Wilson, co-founder of the Beach Boys has also died at 82.

    Both Sly and Brian were creative geniuses, leaving bodies of work that will last through the ages.

    Both gentlemen reached a plateau that few artists will ever achieve.

    Godspeed to both of them.
