You may not have visited the popular left-wing website The Daily Kos for while; perhaps you have formed the opinion that it was nothing more than a soapbox for unhinged, spittle-flecked, anti-establishment moonbats. If so, you will be pleasantly surprised to read this gracious post, published by ethnic bridge-builder Tim Wise on the occasion of the recent election.
Mr. Wise, a saintly man who works tirelessly to heal the ancient divisions of culture and ethnicity that have far too long obstructed the path toward universal brotherhood, exemplifies the finest traditions of the visionary Left. His gentle heart o’erbrimm’d with love, he reaches out to the heartland — to all the good simple American people who have made this great nation the beacon of freedom, prosperity, and tolerance that it is today — with a timely (and yet, somehow, timeless) message of comity and reconciliation.
We owe a hat tip to Dennis Mangan for bringing this uplifting essay to wider attention.

Candidly Henry, I particularly enjoyed the way he employed “Perserverence.”
Reminded me of an old Clint Eastwood flick, The Outlaw Josie Wales in which the character Lone Watie (I think) played by (if I remember correctly) Chief Dan George who gave an endearing speech on precisely that word.
It’s been too long and many PBRs have passed down my gullet since but Lone Watie ends, “Endeavour to perservere.”
