Mr. Nice Guy

Yet another jihadi massacre in France last night. Eighty-four are dead as I write; the number will rise. What can I say that I haven’t said before?

Not to worry, though — the Huffington Post has the answer:

Yup, we’ve got ’em right where we want ’em. Some prayers, a hashtag or two, lots of flowers and candles, and maybe a visit by David Crosby or Judy Collins ought to finish this whole thing off.

What will actually happen: Fear will win, peace will lose.

I’ll say something I have said before: to allow mass immigration of Muslims is the stupidest and most irreversibly self-destructive thing that any Western nation can do.

  1. Malcolm,

“I’ll say something I have said before: to allow mass immigration of Muslims is the stupidest and most irreversibly self-destructive thing that any Western nation can do.”

You should add, “This is a recording” and make it a recording.

I’m afraid France is headed for another revolution such as produced Bastille Day. This time the elites will be playing the role of royalty. At the same time there will be a replay of the forcing of the Muslims back to Spain, only this time to South East Europe. It is a grim picture no matter which way it goes.

Bill, you may be right. People can only tolerate so much. And while they’re at it…the suicidal notion of PC can be driven out right along with the Muslims.

The UK Guardian’s flowers-and-candles commentary on the Nice attack says with a straight face “we don’t know for sure whether this was a deliberate act of terrorism” and is sad about “disaffected Muslims”.

Is there not a parallel between this kind of reaction and that of a woman who, subject to physical beating by her lover, pathetically tries to rationalise why it might be her fault, why she needs to try harder to understand him, etc?

Here perhaps is another aspect of the disaster that befalls a once strong and confident civilisation that allows itself to become feminised.

Absolutely correct, LP. I’ve dubbed it “Battered-West Syndrome”.

  11. Deliberate act of terrorism”? I suppose it could have been an accidental act of terrorism. “For sure“? I suppose we can never be certain.

Perhaps these angry murderers just need a few more hugs? Yeah; fer shur that’s all they need. And the UK Guardian needs to get back to what they do best — wrapping fish.

  12. Hey, flower people, enough with the doom and gloom. Sing it with me:

Where have all the morons gone, long time passing?

    Gone to “Guardian” everyone.

    When will they ever learn?

    etc.
