Wait – What?

The big item in today’s news was that Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox has come to an abrupt end. This is a watershed in American media history (and likely no small moment in America’s political history, too).

For starters: Fox News just became completely irrelevant. An enormous number of that outlet’s subscribers, who saw saw Carlson as their only voice, their only proxy, in mass media, will be walking away. As I write, the market value of the network is already down by hundreds of millions of dollars.

Whose idea was this, I wonder? Did it have to do with Fox’s settlement with Dominion, over the weekend, of their defamation lawsuit about irregularities in Dominion’s voting machines, and their effect on the 2020 election? Did it have to do with something Carlson might have been preparing to say about Ray Epps (the Jan 6th glowie who was on CBS’ 60 Minutes last night), or about the broadening Biden-family scandal? From what I’ve heard today, Carlson had no idea this was coming, and was blindsided as he was preparing this evening’s show earlier today.

Like it or not, Tucker Carlson is easily the most uncontroversially influential personality on the American Right. Scores of millions heed and trust him as their only consistent and coherent voice in desperate times. He is young and charismatic, and uncowed by the left-wing Leviathan he took aim at every weekday evening.

What now?

Grab some popcorn. If history and human nature are any guide, power flows toward this man.

The Fox News Corpse released a statement saying they “agreed to part ways”. I watched his “last show” a while ago. He made no mention of it. (I don’t have cable, so watch these things streamed after the fact) I’ve often wondered of late how long till he got silenced. Tucker touched on too many sensitive truthy areas for even the right wing of the uniparty. His address to the Heritage Fdn on Friday was very good too.
And what about those remaining at fox? The stand-ins for Tucker are going to be facing the ceiling tonight as they lay awake wondering what’s next for them. Watters, Gutfeld, Perino and the others have some decisions to make soon. Game is up and serious change is becoming more and more obviously necessary. Crooks, liars and grifters, and their dupes, are in charge, and want to secure that seat permanently.
Tucker and others will hopefully step up game now. Rumble and other platforms will benefit and become more important too.

I lifted this comment from Turcopolier.com:
This is Tucker’s final speech before being fired at Fox — basically calling the American ruling class evil.

Fox fires @TuckerCarlson five days after he crosses the red line by acknowledging that the TV networks pushed a deadly and ineffective vaccine to please their Pharma advertisers. Carlson’s breathtakingly courageous April 19 monologue broke TV’s two biggest rules: Tucker told the truth about how greedy Pharma advertisers controlled TV news content and he lambasted obsequious newscasters for promoting jabs they knew to be lethal and worthless. For many years, Tucker has had the nation’s biggest audience averaging 3.5 million — 10 times the size of CNN. Fox just demonstrated the terrifying power of Big Pharma.

The American ruling establishment don’t want dissenting voices. But…these voices can’t be entirely silenced. America is more resilient. While Thomas Jefferson and James Madison will not be elected by the current American voters there remains a small minority who still stand with those values of liberty endowed by our Creator. The question is will this small minority grow larger or vanish?.
